pattern and texture
reflection
My best photo is the last picture in the gallery. I was at the bottom of the stairs and the subject is at the top, so I was about seven feet away. I was at a lower point of view looking up and had the camera positioned at the same angle as the railing. My photo is horizontal to capture even amounts of the window. This photo does not follow the rule of thirds. The railing is off center, but to follow the rule of thirds it should be a lot more to the right. This photo shows the repetition of the squares on the windows.
questions
1. The fifth picture (SB stairs) could be a little over exposed. The windows are letting in a lot of light and the settings were set to cloudy, because it wasn't switched from when we were outside. The bottom railing is too bright from the reflection from the sun on the shiny surface.
2. The second picture (fish) could be under exposed. The rocks are too dark, because the lighting in the fish tank was blue so it wasn't like having normal light.
3. The best exposure is the first picture (books). The lighting was perfect, and there wasn't too much light in the library and there weren't many shadows. The range of colors was well spread out of dark and light books as well.
