.The concept of my series is sleeping dogs into playing and having fun, waking up. My subjects are my dog and sister's dogs that I love very much. All my photos have a black and white filter unifying them. The two smaller dogs are Chihuahuas and my dog is a Whoodle, which is Wheaton and poodle mix. Milo, we recently adopted this past summer after my dog Gizmo passed away. All these dogs created comfort with me while I went through a tough time, just like family. Dogs are like family, they are taken in and are like siblings or even children. Dogs like no other animal are the only ones that when feeling emotions look to their humans for comfort. We rely on these animals as much as they rely in us.

These photos show Paz sleeping, then just waking up, and finally up and playing around.Waking up and starting a new day is a new start for everyone and gives second chances. These photos compositionally are strong because of point of view, distance, and repetition. For the pictures white balance was very important because all the shots were inside, but there was some natural light.
